of late i have been mildly obsessed with the color blue. cobalt, azure, sapphire, periwinkle; whatever the shade i seem to be a sucker.

here are a few of my favorite objet de bleu both coveted, tried, tested & true-{blue}.

this ysl beauty would rock any frock boss. i want it, and i veruca salt-want it now!

i recently purchased these precious dolls in nude satin. i flutter ’round the studio like swan herself. their baby blue siblings should be arriving in the mail any day now.

it’s friday!

hunkiest and i have dearest friends in town, and we can’t wait to shower them with love, affection, wine & dine.

i’ll be toe-touching and double hand-springing my way across saturday & sunday with silly, uncontainable joy.

i truly have the best friends in the world.

near and far, in person and online {yes, you that i’ve never even met face to face, but yet with every vessel of my heart, i love} it rattles me the abundance of sweet i feel from so many people.

i’ve said it before, and i’ll say it again: i am one duck lucky girl!

first there was alice, my beloved nikon….

she died a swift, nonsensical, parts & defectives death.

poor alice.

next was tamara. tamara my obstinate camera. she’s fickle and temperate, and likes to hide in unknown pockets, purses and the floor of my prius.

we’re still working on our relationship, two years passed by.

we had a mediator, picnik.com

t’was a glorious symbiosis. but alas our conciliator has had enough, and is retiring.

i think this means i will leap into the land of photo-i-make-zero-sense-shop…..???

brain hurting already….

i’m not a big fan of miss valentine.

i find her rather force-fed and contrived.

yet last year i revised my feelings for this day of 1-800-flowers & chocolates boxed.

i will, once again, fill my heart with love for those who year-long get my scorn, or whom have not been very kind to me.

in my imagination {where i spend buckets of splendid time i’ll have you know} these few and i will toast champagne, shed tears and share laughter like old, dear friends.

this may make me soft, and a little bit of a dreamer, but it makes for a very happy holiday as i lay my head to sleep.

apparently in vegas “the whole truth and nothing but the truth” means something in different in california.

on bended knee i thank whomever it is for these trying, will testing, gut wrenching times.

funny how in gloom’s bleak shade one can actually see some of the most beautiful colors; for light reflects in the deepest, most nefarious of places….you just have to keep your eyes open long enough. pupils and perspective always adjust.

i pity the bitter soul who choses to only see dim and shadow in bouts of despair. how else can you appreciate the gorgeous of daybreak after the storm?

and i’m a girl who loves both the rain AND the sun.

on this blessed monday mixed full of bliss and tribulation, may you find the beauty in both m’loves.
