yesterday, baz luhrman’s trailer for his adaption of the great gatsby came out.
already receiving reviews both naysaying and rackety, and the film isn’t even slated to release until christmas.
what are your thoughts?
since reading it in miss mooney’s 9th grade english class i was a hooked fitzgerald girl.
the era, the style, the decor, the sass of the tongue- i love it all.
jordan baker is still one of my favorite, all-time literary characters.
i, for one, can’t wait.
p.s. for any other great gatsby fiends i highly recommend the double bind by chris bouhjalian, the perfect summer read.
LOVE the book. Even loved Robert Redford as Gatsby the last go-round. I will take that summer book recommendation thankyouverymuch. XO
i loved the first movie too! although mia farrow bugged me.
I also looove the book, and I'm actually very very excited for this! Even if it isn't totally true to the book, I think it'll still be fun! The cast is superb!
yes! i'm a giant carey mulligan fan!
